Qisda is recognized for the first time in the S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook and rated as a top 5% company

Qisda actively practices sustainability and has been selected for the first time in The S&P Global Sustainability Yearbook 2024, receiving recognition as one of the top 5% companies globally. Amidst intense evaluation among over 62 industries and 9,400 companies worldwide, only 759 companies made it to this year's Yearbook. Qisda achieved an outstanding score of 81 out of 100, placing it among the top 5%.


Peter Chen, Chairman of BenQ Group, expressed that Qisda adheres to the core value of sustainable business operations. Through four major operational principles, the company collaborates with its partners in the "Big Fleet" to continuously strive towards the goal of achieving more than half of its high-value-added business profits by 2027. Qisda and its partners in the Big Fleet actively take sustainable actions in environmental, social, and governance aspects. In 2023 alone, they received approximately 30 sustainability awards domestically and internationally, demonstrating the Big Fleet's outstanding performance and recognition in sustainable development.

 

In terms of environmental initiatives, Qisda actively participates in various international sustainability organizations and practices green design to create low-carbon products, reduce energy consumption, and minimize material usage. Compared to the baseline year of 2015, material and resource consumption has been reduced by over 38%, and there has been an average carbon reduction of 45.47% in products. Global investments in green equipment have exceeded NT$23 million, saving 6,445 thousand kWh of electricity. Additionally, the Taiwan Shuangxing factory has obtained Green Factory certification.

 

In terms of social initiatives, Qisda prioritizes community care and organizes a total of 150 events each year, with over 30,000 participants, demonstrating its social impact. The company also strives to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work environment. For five consecutive years, it has been recognized as the Best Employer in Asia. With a high employee retention rate of 90.2%, a 90.1% participation rate in employee stock trust memberships, and equal promotion rates for both genders in Taiwan, Qisda fosters an open and respectful culture that embraces diversity. This approach attracts talented individuals from around the world.


In terms of governance, Qisda maintains its performance in corporate governance evaluations, consistently ranking within the top 6% to 20% of listed companies. For five consecutive years since 2019, it has been included in the Corporate Governance 100 Index. In 2022, Qisda achieved its first-stage transformation goal of having more than half of its revenue come from high-value-added businesses. The company is continuing to progress towards its second-stage goal of having more than half of its profits come from high-value-added businesses by 2027.

 

Qisda is actively practicing sustainable operations by setting ambitious goals for the future. By 2030, the company aims to reduce carbon emissions in its supply chain by 30%. By 2040, the target is to use 100% renewable energy, and by 2050, Qisda aims for net-zero emissions.
