BenQ Group has been dedicated to sustainable development, winning ten major awards at the 17th "TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards." Among these, Qisda has been recognized as one of the "Top 100 Sustainable Exemplary Enterprises in Taiwan" for three consecutive years. In addition to continuously refining its own sustainable practices, Qisda has also extended its efforts to its fleet members, including BenQ Materials, Alpha Networks Inc., Hitron Technologies, DFI Inc., and MetaAge, all of which have received multiple awards for sustainability reports and overall performance, gaining significant recognition.


 

 

The Taiwan Sustainable Energy Research Foundation hosted the 2024 17th "TCSA Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Awards," with the award ceremony held on December 11. The organizers noted that prioritizing ESG is both a pressure and a driving force for companies, serving as a motivation for progress. 
 

 

 Over the past 17 years, a total of 882 companies have participated in the evaluation, with a combined revenue of NT$36.5 trillion in 2023, representing 155% of Taiwan's GDP for the same year, and accounting for 85.8% of the total market capitalization on the stock exchange, highlighting the importance and representativeness of the TCSA awards.
 

Qisda and BenQ Materials have been awarded as part of the Top 100 Sustainable Exemplary Enterprises in Taiwan.

 

Peter Chen , Chairman of BenQ Group, stated that corporate sustainable development has become a universal value globally. Through their own efforts and external evaluations, companies can measure their current performance and continuously pursue excellence. The group not only strives for improvement but also shares its experiences with upstream and downstream partners and fleet members. This year, the group won ten major awards and will continue to actively exert a positive and upward sustainable influence.

 

The comprehensive performance evaluation for sustainability uses sustainability performance as the assessment standard to recognize outstanding companies. Qisda has been selected as one of the Top 100 Sustainable Exemplary Enterprises in Taiwan for three consecutive years, ranking among the best. Other group companies also achieved excellent results in the comprehensive performance evaluation, with BenQ Materials also being selected as one of the Top 100 Sustainable Exemplary Enterprises, while Alpha Networks Inc. and Hitron Technologies both received performance excellence awards.

 

 

 

In 2023, Qisda achieved a goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 10%, with an actual reduction performance of 51% compared to the 2021 baseline year. On the social front, it has created a happy workplace, raising employee engagement to 4.62 points, with over 90% participation in employee stock trust membership and a retention rate of 92%.
 

In support of employee career development, Qisda invested over NT$86 million in training globally in 2023, with an average training time of 22 hours per employee. Additionally, Qisda has established a Continuous Improvement (CIP) culture, enhancing the group's competitiveness in the industry. Following the PDCA cycle, the group executed a total of 616 CIP projects in 2023, accumulating over 6,300 projects implemented.

 

Qisda collaborates with suppliers and exhibitors to advance waste reduction and carbon reduction initiatives. In 2023, a total of 696 suppliers participated in the ESG sustainable supply chain action workshop established by Qisda, assisting suppliers in building greenhouse gas inventory capabilities. Qisda adheres to ISO 20121 international sustainable event management verification, setting a goal of 100% zero waste decoration for the COMPUTEX Taipei International Computer Show, strictly ensuring the implementation of sustainability across the three major aspects of ESG: "Environment," "Social," and "Governance," leading exhibition partners to jointly create a green exhibition.

 

Sustainability Reports: BenQ Qisda Group Achieves Impressive Results with "Two Platinum, Three Gold, and One Silver" Awards
 

In terms of Sustainability report evaluation, the focus is on the quality of disclosures, ensuring they meet principles of completeness, credibility, and communication. This year, both Qisda and BenQ Materials received the highest "Platinum" honor in the sustainability report awards, achieving significant results. Hitron Technologies, Utron, and MetaAge all received "Gold" recognition, while Alpha Networks Inc. received "Silver," resulting in a collective achievement of "Two Platinum, Three Gold, and One Silver" awards for the group.
 

BenQ Qisda Group actively practices sustainable management, setting goals to reduce supply chain carbon emissions by 30% by 2030, achieve 100% renewable energy use by 2040, and reach net-zero emissions by 2050. In the future, it will accelerate innovation to provide more environmentally friendly products and actively collaborate with fleet and supplier partners to jointly reduce carbon emissions, moving towards the goal of "Co-creation and Mutual Benefit, Sustainable Excellence."
